The Winston
The client’s first home, a ground floor Art Deco apartment in Caulfield North, was renovated with a light touch. Nothing too dramatic, just thoughtful changes that kept its original charm while making it feel more personal and comfortable.
The apartment faces east, so the kitchen and bathroom fill with soft morning light. That quiet glow became a subtle anchor for the design, shaping moments like waiting for the kettle or stepping into the shower into something a bit more gentle and grounded.
Materials were kept simple and warm. Spotted gum cabinetry brings texture and weight, paired with cream 2pac overheads to keep things light. A curved stone benchtop softens the space without drawing too much attention. Travertine Scarpa tiles connect the kitchen and bathroom, while off-white tiles, brushed nickel fittings and round wall lights keep the bathroom calm and pared back.
Completed in 2024, the renovation feels like a natural progression. A small space, carefully resolved.
